Haruhi: New Episode Rumors… again *Confirmed

It looks like one of the channels currently broadcasting reruns of Haruhi this season may have accidently leaked information on new episodes. According to the channel’s schedule on May 24th (The date the 8th episode is supposed to run) an episode titled “Sasa no Ha Rhapsody” or “Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody” will air. Not only is that not an episode title of any in the first season, but this would be the title of the next episode of season two if season two was following the chronilogical order of the light novels.
As far as I know Kadokawa has yet to make an official announcement on this matter. As anxious as I am for another season, after all the trolling Kadokawa has been doing I’m not going to believe any of these rumors for another season until I hear an official answer. I wonder if they enjoy teasing their fans?
Update: The TV channel that messed up has taken down the title… which only makes it all the more suspicious.

For those of you who haven’t been keeping count The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya aired about 3 years ago… and there really hasn’t been much official news about a season two much to Haruhi fan’s dismay. I remember this a long while back, and then fans freaking out a few months ago when they confused the current re-airing of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya with the official second season. Really it seems kind of silly for a second season release to keep so long… but then again I’m sure that Haruhi’s boss is rolling around in all the monies from things like these:

Honestly… I think it would be amusing for this all to be another ruse to make the Haruhi-ist Otakus rage. People take all this too seriously…. My Anime List even has May 24, 2009 set at the beginning of the second season even though this is still just a rumor. Honestly Harhi season two isn’t at the top of my wishlist… its less likely things such as a remake of Rurouni kenshin and a second season of Ouran High School Hostly club =D
Anyways… I’ll conclude with this… Because Yuki with a bunny on her head makes just about the same amount of sense as Kadokawa’s marketing strategy.

I’m fed up with all those rumors and intentional hints about coming of new series, etc. I won’t believe anything until I see it with my own eyes. I’ve lost faith in Kadokawa.

Yep I’ve watched the first episode as well. Apparently the next one won’t be up for around 2-3 more weeks as there are Mysterique Sign and the Lone Island Syndrome thing to go over with.
