Fans Line Up For 25 Days To See Rie Kugimiya

Rie Kugimiya must be extremely popular in Taiwan. So much that fans are lining up for 25 days to see her! Best known for her tsundere roles in the various anime characters like Shana, Louise and Taiga, she is going to be a guest at the Taipei International Book Exhibition 2010.

Fans Line Up For 25 Days To See Rie Kugimiya

She will be doing some signing provide you buy some Shana goods, limited to the first 89 customers, from one of the venders which goes on sale on the morning of the 27th. However, on the 3rd of January 2010, 20 crazy fans decided to line up – yes, 25 days before the event!

And they made it to the news :3 Is this sweet or scary? I might do that like for 1 day, but not for 25 days. It’s too crazy XD.

    Anime fanbase in Taiwan is pretty damned big. I can’t comment about everything else but the biggest (and possibly only) Chinese VN translation group is based in Taiwan (SumiSora uses quite a bit of Taiwan slangs that I can’t quite understand).

    @ GNdynames: Yeah the market is pretty big, just assuming that I see tons of Taiwan-imported mangas in Singapore. Lol. And yes when my friend heads there for holidays, he brings back anime stuff :/
