Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood finally ended on Sunday with an announcement stating that production on a theatrical version has been green-lit. Man I’m so glad that I didn’t drop the anime when it was airing(some of them were repeats from the first anime). Love the ending!!

Irie Yasuhiro posted in his twitter that he is not involved in the production of the new movie. He said the staff of the movie will be announced soon.

Now I’m only wondering what the movie will be about – since Edward and Alphonse got their bodies back already…

I wonder what it’s gonna be about. Something after the end of the series, or something that happens during/before the series? On the other hand I also have a feeling that it could be all about the Ishval War since a lot of manga fans were anticipating a long story arc about that before.

Personally, I think it’s gonna be about what happens after Al and Ed go their separate ways on the train to look for more types of Alchemy.
    That would make sense.

If you look at the ending Ed and Al were both going on an adventure to Xing, I think the movie will be about that hope Alphonse still has his body for the movie :)

I just hope the movie comes out soon >_<

Ya know this movie can either be really good or really bad. Has anyone heard if Hiromu Arakawa is actually participating and writing for the movie or is it going to be random crap that some anime company comes up with the original FMA anime.

If Arakawa writes it, and it is say maybe in a near distant future, after Alphonse and Ed went off on their adventures, they return to find like Grunman doing something evil (cause I remember a few really weird comments on his end about not trusting Mustang and some weird looks so I still have a feeling he wasn’t as much on their side as they think) specially with his final conversation with Ms. Bradley. I dunno I’d like to see something like that, Ishvalan war would be cool, but at the same time we basically know what happened, so a full movie about it would be kinda boring imo

The last episode shows Ed with Winry’s kids (in the credits). Then he’s off again. So maybe the movie is about his kids diving into alchemy, or maybe its before their kids, and right when Al and Ed meet up with alkahestry and alchemy, and combine them to create epicness. I’m really happy to hear that there will be a movie. The Movie for the original series had a great concept, but it didn’t go the way I was hoping.

Let me just say that FMA Brotherhood so kicks the regular FMA’s ass!

I have no clue what the movie will be about! It could be about his kids, or inventing a new different kind of alchemy, or some one made another homunculus, or someone trying to take over the military! So many possibilities! I CAN’T WAIT!! ( The reason I’m so hyper is that I’m a 14 year old girl who drank about 5 cups of coffee just now and it’s 3 o’clock in the morning! :D )

~~*Somehow, I think that Edward will find some bizarre way to get his Alchemy back. Oh, and the movie just HAS to be about what’s going on between Ed & Al when they went there separate ways. It would be kind of boring if it was about the Ishval War…and that would mean that Ed & Al wouldn’t really be in the scenes, which would suck horribly.

Oh, and by any chance does anyone know the release date for the movie? I heard on some random anime website that it would be sometime in December (which sounds about right), but I’m not sure if the information is accurate. It never stated the release date on Anime News Network–which is an official site–so I guess one hasn’t been set yet.*~~

    FMA brotherhood is the best!
The movie is maybe about what Ed and Al learn in the country’s where they are traveling through. Maybe also about Ed and Winry because they didn’t really say that they love each other.
I hope that the movie will come soon!!!!!

I recently learned, that the ishvalan war was cut extreeemely short in the anime, even though its one of the best parts of the show. Its literally like an awesome war movie in the manga. I read it, and i wish they made it 2-3 eps and kept everything in. Since they didn;t…. i would want the movie to be the full ishval scenario. I would fukin love that.

FMA has always been about Ed and Al and there struggle, changing it to the ishval war would be pointless and would lose the interests of the fans. It will have something to do with the different types of alchemy and Ed getting his gate of truth back so that he can use alchemy again.

i think that the movie will be about what happens once ed and al have gone their seperate ways and about ed and winrys kids, the whole family…i rather hope the ishvalan war has no part in the movie…and maybe itll have a little about al and may what happens to them.

I think it would be really cool if Selim Bradly finds his way into the truth and combines himself with the truth which ultimately leads the Elric Brother back into the gate to face with Selim and the truth. It would be interesting to build on this.
